Engine cover silencer
There is a black styrofoam silencer/heat insulator under the top leather engine cover. There are two spikes that appear to be a place for locating fasteners.
I am told that there aren't fasteners or locators and that the styrofoam piece simply stays in place by the friction of the leather cover. Can anyone varify or deny this? Care has to be taken to keep the styrofoam piece pulled toward the back to allow the leather cover to be engaged properly. Failure to do this will damage the flip cover as it will break striking the hatch seal. |
