Since the technology is shared with Porsche, it's probably safe to assume it's going to have all the awesome improvements that the recently 2024 Porsche Taycan refresh got. Faster charger times, better efficiency, less weight, etc. All the benefits without the insane Porsche prices!!

Looks like direct competition to the IX. Charging speed appears superior…the rest of it seems pretty typical for the sector.

Odd quote from the Car and Driver article. Seems totally bizarre to have a 9.6 kW charger for the standard configuration. Nobody else does this.

I thought it might be direct competition for the IX…actually is is considerably smaller…though the price is not much different. I suspect it will be close in size to the x3 sized BEV BMW is developing. Looks pretty nice…but we’ll see!

Also doesn't appear to have a hands-free ADAS.

I really liked my ‘19 etron, despite its quirks.

The Q6/SQ6 etron appears to be a really nice vehicle, although the initial software package running the UI is not going to be the hoped for top-of-the-line Cariad product, as VW Group simply can’t get it to work after multiple years of trying.

Knowing Audi there’s no chance of getting OTA updates to safeguard against (relative) redundancy after the sale.

The Q8 e-tron would be the (current) direct Audi competitor to the iX, again with VAG/Audi software (MMI), range (about 220 miles real world) and support. Depends on what you're looking for in an EV SUV, keeping in mind the Q7/8 really hasn't had a refresh coming up on five or six years now.

It's based on PPE, the same as the Porsche Macan EV, but does lack the rear axle steering option. I think this looks great, excellent range, tech, infotainment has been revamped (long overdue for Audi) and based on Android Automotive.

I have a Macan Turbo EV on order, so obviously a fan of this platform already.

This is what's missing in the iX.

I'll reserve judgement on the Infotainment system until I get a chance to try it out for a few days but I imaging that it can only improve on what Audi has today.

Good luck, I will look to get one is a year or 2. Wait to make sure they get all the kinks out.

My 2915 Macan S was one of the best cars I have ever owned.

No more ordering a first year EV’s for me, did that with the Mach E.

AUDI is a dumpster fire, and VAG has not been able to fix major e-tron problems since 2019.

I've said this before....the worse iX is still more reliable than the best e-tron!

ZERO interest in Audi. The styling is just awful. To get anything remotely sleek and modern one has to move to Porsche and pay the ridiculous prices. No thanks. BMW is so much more attractive, both to the eye and the wallet.

We just dumped an eTron Chronos and will take delivery of a iX in the next week or two.

Final straw was the software. On a recent road trip down I-95 the car would not charge at EA or ChargePoint. I limped home with 15 miles of range. Took it to the dealer and they immediately mentioned that another car had just been towed in for inability to charge.

This is basic stuff folks. After coming from a family with 50+ years of VAG history, I'm out.

I think it's a good looking car overall, but yep, not a standout. The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X leaks so far look incredible. That surely has to kill the iX doesn't it?

Since the iX is a one off, a la the i3...I think the Neue Klasse is being designed to kill the iX off
