I have heard that canceling your subscription from SiriusXM is almost impossible. Guess you got by with 10 mins.

Yeah I think the NY Attorney General is bringing a lawsuit for this. I find the service itself to be OK but their customer service is the worst.

The last time I tried to cancel that service they made me wait on the phone for over a hour because they were having “computer problems “. Finally after waiting for over an hour they cancelled service for a car I no longer owned.

Screw that, I never signed up for their service again. In the end they only ended up hurting themselves by eliminating any chance I would use them in the future.

If you are having problems cancelling hang up and call the number for a new plan, that they always answer and then say you want to cancel. Always works

I’ve never had an issue canceling a used subscription or even negotiating for cheaper rates. However I recently read that SXM may have changed their cancellation policy such that if you’ve paid for an annual subscription and cancel before the end of that subscription, you won’t be refunded on a pro-rated basis on the unused portion of that specific subscription.

That is total BS!

My solution to this is to only give them a virtual card number with a time limit and spending limit. I get nasty notes from them for a few months but nothing happens. When I want the service again, I reinstate the service with another virtual card.
