Canada: 2024 iX50 missing IAS?

Hey all

In the BMW configurator for Canada you can add the Dynamic Handling Package which adds 2VR and 2VH. They don’t seem to allow you to split these.

I was looking at an in-stock vehicle in Montreal (VIN: WB523CF03RCP52727) which shows 2VR (air suspension) but not 2VR (IAS). Is this an error in the decoder (using mdecoder.com)? I’m not sure how 2VR is there but not 2VH. It seems all iX 50 in Canada I can find with 2VR do not have 2VH for the MY24 which is odd to me.

Can anyone shed some light? I may be interested in adding an iX50 to the stable but would hope to have IAS.

Thanks!

The chance that the decoder is wrong is essentially nil.

I got my iX back in Nov 22 so I stopped playing/obsessing with the Canadian configurer a long time ago but every now and again they change how they package things. I vaguely rember that the 50 wasn't allowed to have 4 wheel steering for a while and was only available on the m60 version. This seems to have changed since. A salesman should be able to tell you for sure when they changed things around.

Isn't this expected? It's very similar to the configurations we saw in the US for 2024 where there were a few iX50's built with Air Suspension (2VR), and none with Rear Steering (2VH).

For 2024 due to part shortages you could NOT get any iX50 with 2VH in the US, so I think that you are seeing is totally expected for existing inventory in N. America.

It makes sense that they would add components back to these cars little by little as the parts inventories improve.

Thanks all. It makes sense IAS wasn’t available due to part shortages on the iX50. What I think threw me off is that the shitty BMW configurator on the Canada website still configures MY24 and IAS shows as being included, so I just assumed all MY24 had them.

Thanks!
