If you are interested enough in something as critical as an electric vs ICE powertrain…just leave the rear doors closed if they bother you.

I would prefer a true coupe option also. I think the 4 series coupe is far better looking than the GC. The 4 series looks a bit like the 8 series to my eye. But obviously the deep thinkers at BMW believe the GC would have better marketability.

And the G26/G28 are the LWB version of the 4er/3er, so more space for batteries; doing an G22-based i4 would mean they'd have to re-engineer a whole lot in the undercarriage/floor unit, which sounds like a non-starter for a niche car like a coupe.
