Limited slip rear differential?

According to BMW, the electric motor is packaged with a single speed gear box in the rear differential. According to the press release there is a "Near-actuator wheel slip limitation" which limits wheel spin at the motor. Has BMW stated what the mechanical rear differential is? Is it an open differential like the standard (non-M) BMW or a limited slip (mechanical or electronically controlled clutch) or is there some form of torque vectoring? Given that BMW isn't really clear (to my eyes at least) regarding the rear differential I'm guess that it is an standard open differential. But does someone know better? Or am I just wrong and fancy electric motors "work different?"
