Hello, I have some questions for the experts and drivers.

1) does the i8 also has small 12V battery like the i3?
2) if it has can the high-voltage battery also charge the small battery if voltage becomes low due to long parking and non usage in winter-time? Maybe alarm system...
3) Is there any problem I could run into if i8 stays un-used for month in the garage?

Hi, I'm not an expert and may well be corrected by those that are but:

1) Yes
2) Yes but I would keep it on a charge if at all possible as it will drain over time
3) Unused in a garage for a month is fine. don't it myself, regularly.

I parked mine for 5 months. (yes, it was painful to be without her)

No problem. The car's Traction Battery (High Voltage Battery, Main battery, whatever...) only went down by a couple percent.

I was told by my Service Advisor that the 12v battery under the hood is charged when the OUC (Occasional Use Charger) is used to charge the car.

Can someone verify?

Just took my i8 out of winter storage. Been parked in my parking garage largely untouched since the beginning of Dec. No charger, not plugged in, no problem...
