What did you do to your i8 today?
Most car forums have this thread but didn't see one on the i8 so thought i would add one!
I installed the maxhaust sounds module and now my car sounds amazing! Videos to follow soon. |

2019 i8 Roadster (so far):
- Paint Protection film for whole front Clip and mirrors - Tinted the side/rear windows (30%) - De-badged (removed) both the i8 and iDrive logo's on rear of car - Rewired power socket under dash to change from always-on to acc-only power (fuse box micro-tap) - Designed/3DPrinted windshield mount/shroud for Valentine 1 Radar Detector (prevents laser interference from Nav Screen) - Wired Valentine 1 to new aux power circuit added to fuse box - Mounted Valentine 1 Remote display and bluetooth transmitter just to the left of the headlight selector - Installed RAM ball mount in little cavity forward of transmission selector - Designed/3DPrinted Note8 slide-in phone holder with built in USB-C power connector. Mounted holder on RAM ball mount. Powered by low profile USB charger inserted into modified power socket under glove box. - Designed/sewed black Spandex slip-on covers for sun visors. (Covers ugly yellow warning stickers and provides sleeve for parking ticket storage, etc). - Added low profile USB charger to power port in console. Also added low profile right-angle USB extender cable so something can actually plug into it! - Installed 256 GB micro USB 3.0 Thumb drive in USB port in console to hold my entire music collection. (Makes limited storage of internal Hard drive irrelevant and is removable for easy update using a PC). - 3M Durolock added to windshield for removable mounting point of iPass toll token I think that brings me up to date... ;-)

Bought it Saturday, gave it a hand wash yesterday. It was the dealership owner's 2015 and he put 10,500mi on it. New to me, totally enjoying it!

I drove a loaner seven series into the dealership to find out why the hell they still had my i8 two weeks after dropping it off for a first service and a few little warranty items.....

I drove it from California to Maine. Ok, fine that wasn't today. It was Tuesday-Friday this week. 3250 miles. Average speed 75.1 mph. 33.5 mpg. 45 hours 44 minutes of driving time over four days. Shortest day: 650 miles. Longest day: 950 miles. Lowest Temperature seen: 9°F. Days with some snow: 2. Yes, I had full snow tires.
Love this car.
