Exclamation Universal Studios will Release Current Theater Movies To Home!

This is foking HUGE!!!! And I predicted this would happen. Other Studios will follow. They are losing Hundreds of Millions currently and will continue to lose without VOD Home releases.
this is excellent and I can't wait. And it begins this Friday:

As if movie theaters didn't take enough of a hit because of all this, now you are paralyzing them for the rest of the year.

They could have delayed these releases and had them ready for when the movie theaters open back up, to get them back on their feet.

I'm not sure that this should really be what we should be worried about right now. Netflix et al will give us enough to pass the time. We could go outside and get some fresh air too.

The average ticket price for one is $10.not sure where that even is. Here it costs more like $15/per. So considering if like me, you have a Family of 4, this is a no Brainer!

I can watch a movie and actually eat AND have a glass of wine or 2 each, for $50 dollars with my friend. If I do that at one of the local theatre's that serve food it's double that, easily.

This is a boon to humanity and a GREAT find. Thanks Big Marcus!

I always INTEND to watch the movie. Always. I can't help if it takes 3 or 4 attempts to watch a standard 2 hour movie!!

hopefully they release some of the big tittles like james bond and F9. Am I missing something? How is it not a bigger opportunity for them to make money with at home releases right now even compared to regular theater releases in the best of times?

Everyone is home looking for things to do. No one is going to take advantage of paying for one rental and having a party of people over to watch it. Wouldnt they actually make more?

You mean like these giant companies price gouge & steal our money? Get real.

Not like I never go to the movies. Maybe put out more movies worth paying to see, Hollywood......

I hear you. I haven't been to a movie theater in like 8 years. Too many bad experiences have kept me away for so long with no plans to return any time soon. There's nothing that has ever come out that I needed to see that badly. I can wait the ~12 weeks for the release window.
