Control Display Stuck after USB Software Update

Nav display stuck on "Software update complete. Turn car off and wait for control panel to turn off" after updating the system via usb drive. Is there any way to force a reboot? Won't leave that screen. UGH.

You could always disconnect the 12v batter under the front bonnet, that will force it to switch off. Probably best to get someone to do that for you though as theres a power disconnect which is quite fragile on the terminal.

Can I ask where you got the update from?

I tried going to bmw.com/update with my i3 VIN, downloaded a file (which was identical to the one offered for me M6 GC). When i plugged it into the car, I was told that the software on the USB is not for this car.

So I'm stuck where to find the latest update for the i3. Worked perfectly on the M6.

Thanks!
