Either way, I think the technology is there for BMW to boost this to 600Hp when they think they have a market for an upper level ("competition" type version) i4.
Also to note, its 1000ft MPH on that run at 113.57mph is pretty much in line with a RWD G80 M3

So to me, the i4 M50 will trap between an AWD and RWD M3 in the 1/4 mile.

Side note, the video shows a Guage cluster indicating the i4 using LC, but the external visual doesn't show the car hunkering down like in other videos where they used LC, so I don't think they actually used LC on those runs and used film from a different time.

In other words, the m50 is NOT an EV to be associated with a drop in top-end power but rather a flat wave of power that sustains beyond its electronically limited HP rating.
EVs loss in top-end power is primarily a result of having a single fixed gear ratio. The power curve and single gear's ratio does influence top-end, but you need a 2-speed like the Taycan to really improve top-end.

The Taycan's 2 speed has a numerically lower ratio for the second gear, which would result in less TQ at the wheels at higher speeds on the i4 M50 to it's electronically limited 140mph.

I believe Porsche used it more to boost low-end performance since the Taycan motors have less TQ than a typical BEV motor, while having a "taller" ratio for better highway range.

The i4 M50 doesn't really need that it since the motors output high TQ value's while sustaining power from 70 mph - 140mph limited top speed. You'd basically have some crazy AWD wheel spin at low speeds/off the line at wide-open acceleration.

0-100km/h times are really bad for m3, should it be in low 3's

Very good for i50 bmw has built a fast electric car right off the bat

The 105mph in the 1/8th on both cars is great. M3P for comparison is only 97-98mph in the 1/8th. Can't wait to see the i4 M50 times on a prepped dragstrip.
