Front splitter looks nice! Any plans for a carbon fiber version? Also same question for rear side fins? If you have carbon package, I think the rears would look off in gloss black. Also I'm assuming the vehicle posted has the front springs? I was concerned about the balance of lowering compared to the rears and I think that's a little bit confirmed based on your photos. Can the rear be adjusted any lower?

I'm not aware of any plans to make the side wings in carbon, although the boot spoiler is carbon.

The car shown has the suspension kit fitted, which comprises two front springs and two adjustable rods for the rear ride height sensors. Standard procedure is to lower the rear the same amount as the front. You could probably go lower, as far as the thread on the rod allows, but you may not see any handling benefit from this. It's not always the case that lower = better. I agree that in these photos the rear doesn't look much lower than stock, but I'm assured it actually is 20-25mm lower, same as the front.

Can you give me a link for the carbon splitter? And was asking about lowering the rear more for looks than handling 🤓

The front splitter isn't carbon - the boot spoiler is.

Here's our UK link. Click the fitting instructions for more pics.

I know what you mean about the lowering, but when we've lowered the rear more than the front in the past (often with good reason) people complain about "reverse rake".

Garage List
2022 BMW i4 M50  [0.00]
2022 BMW X7  [0.00]
so... how much range do I lose with all that downforce added?

I guess we can't have it all.

I worry about the battery clearance reduced by 1".

Unlike a petrol car where you might scrape the exhaust or something. I worry about increased risk of battery pack damage.

I like the finishers on the side.

We've sold hundreds of lowering kits for i3s and i8s without any issues but if this is going to keep you awake at night then don't do it.

Looks amazing! May I know how much ground clearance after lowering? And since it's only the front springs, do you code to lower the rear air suspensions?

Did the i3 and i8 have their batteries in the floor or the floor itself?

Nah, it's not going to keep me up.

Also it's pretty obvious how/where the springs go. What about the links? How easy/hard to install?

Ground clearance depends where you measure it. The rear is lowered by adjustable rods to the ride height sensors - no coding or software change required.

I believe so, but you'd need to contact AC Schnitzer USA. We are only the UK importers.

Both the i3 and i8 were carbon fibre tubs. The i4 is steel but it makes sense to put them low down for the best weight distribution.

Instructions for the springs and rods are here:

Rear quarter canards above the tail lights? Really? Did they make too many and decide to just put them everywhere it would stick? "Yo dawg, I heard you like lil plastic stick on things so we put them here and here and here and even made one kind of wrap around here too"

The lowering kit looks amazing. The rest, meh. Each to their own.

Hopefully other brand spring kits come available soon too.

Adjustable links replacing the fixed links in the rear OEM height sensor...

Actually the battery is very well protected and difficult to puncture. Far safer and less vulnerable than a gas tank. If you hit the bottom of the car hard enough to puncture the battery, then that's unlikely to be your main concern, considering an impact of that nature would need to be such a hard hit, that your internal organs, brain, spine, etc would sustain major damage at that velocity. The battery protection can sustain massive impacts. That's also why manufacturers are starting to mess with using the battery "case" as part of the main structure elements of the car.
