Spare tire
I'm aware there's no spare tire on the i3, but have you guys though about getting and extra front wheel to use as spare tire if it's needed? on the front or back due that sizes are different a front wheel can work on the back at least to get you home to get the flat one fix, and I know the run flat tank/ compresor, but if the tire if really damage a run flat won't work , and pay a tow truck would be more expensive plus, waiting on the dark cold or rain no a fun picture, any ideas on this ?

If you have the 19" wheels that would be a pretty good match.
The space saver tire that comes in many cars might be a good choice as you could probably find one at a wrecker for very cheap. I am referring to the steel ones that come with some MB's or bigger Audi's. You just need to confirm the bolt pattern and the centre hole. I would even suggest a test fit. I suggest this because not only will it be cheaper but lighter as well. If you are giving up trunk space, you should at least save a few pounds. You will need a jack and lug wrench as well. If you go this route, you will need to make sure that the lug bolts work with the spare rim as well. |

Honestly I've had such good experience with AAA I haven't bothered. The i3 doesn't leave the city and I get free towing up to 100 miles.

I mentioned the Audi or MB because they share similar characteristics to the BMW i3 as far as bolt pattern. Other BMW wheels wont bolt up to the i3. |

Thought about it? We've had one since January of 2017.
Front 20" wheel from a friend at a body shop that had one laying around, mounted a nearly bald rear tire. We've only used it once but it was nice to have.

The answer is in my post, that you quoted... A front 20" wheel.

I leased my i3 3 months ago and I already have two flats where the rip was on the wall, I am very uncomfortable driving it without a spare. The kit was useless, anyone has an idea where to put a spare? Maybe under the car or on the back door, all I know is that after being on the freeway for 2 hours and 3 days for BMW to get me a tire I want a spare, any aideas
