They wear well. Definitely in the 30k mile range since they can't be rotated on my X5. They are quiet and rolling resistance seems to be okay. They do well for gas mileage. They last about 30k+ on the X5. Lasted longer on the E90. I plan to switch to the DWS as soon as the stock 20" on the M50 wear out. I don't think it will be worse than the gumballs that come with the car.

Pirelli P Zero A/S tread depth starts out at 9/32"
I just measured the tread depth of my new 2023 i4 eDrive 40 with 174 miles on it. The Pirelli P Zero A/S measured 9/32" on all four tires. Most tires start of at 10/32" or 11/32". These are the "star" marked tires specifically for BMW.
I wonder if BMW has the tires shaved to improve ride quality as other Pirelli A/S tires are 10/32". Looking at Tire Rack, they do not specify the tread depth and other parameters. Wallyf |

kbsilver,
The average number of weights is 8 units. I assume that they are 1/2 oz per unit. Photo 1 is the minimum of 6 and photo 2 is the maximum of 14. I would say that this is a normal number; i.e. average number in my experience. Wallyf |

Hi guys, does anyone have problem with m50 (xdrive version) with tearing or collapsing by constant addition of gas caused by different tire usage (tread high)? Ive had this problem on 535xd, now Im interested if this problem is solved in this type of xdrive or is better way for me to buy rwd i4 40. Sorry for my bad english!
Thanks! |
