Does your i4 shudder waiting at the lights

I doesn’t know if this is unique to mine or the same with all i4M50s but if I pull up to the lights or just waiting even in Park the car after a minute will shudder for a second and then stop and it will repeat this again after half a minute or so. It’s the weirdest feeling as if the motors are excited.

Yes, I know what you're talking about. Ours did this. It felt and sounded like the car was grunting. One of several things that annoyed me about the car. Having previously owned another EV that did not do anything like this I found it extremely frustrating.

Mine doesn't shudder but I did find it very hard to move gently when I first got it early 2023. Although, it doesn't do this now, so I can only assume an OTA Software Update resolved this for me.

For what it's worth, in the past few months I've been driving alternately either an i4 35 or an i4 M50; I did not experience this issue with either vehicle.

If you're driving with one pedal option on and auto-hold on stopping you can get these kind of shudders.

Last week I rented a '24 i4 e35 for a day and a few times as I slowed approaching red lights I felt an unusual but mild driveline-shudder. A review I read a few weeks ago mentioned a similar shudder and suggested it arose from the rear-axel regen and front-axel disk breaks not playing well together. I have no idea if this is the cause, but what both me and the reviewer experienced was as the car was slowing to a stop, not while actually stopped.

Yes I can feel it vibrating for few seconds from time to time... but it's not from braking; happens when the car is at a complete stand still. Someone on another forum suggested it's the A/C turning on, but doesn't make sense since it's winter, and I have the A/C off anyway.

You can feel the A/C compressor shudder at times. And even though it is winter, it may be using the compressor for heat pump operation. But yes, this would be felt even when not moving. Only other shudder I feel would be when engaging launch control!
