As I mentioned above, any iX manufactured after March 2023 will have the newer headunit installed. Vehicles built after July will have iDrive 8.5 already installed, but BMW has already announced that upgrades will be available later for those with the newer headunits.

There may not be a campaign number yet. Considering this is a safety recall, It will probably show up on both recall sites eventually. Just for context, some items will not show up on the BMW recall site, but will show up on this one. An example of this is the seat module reprogramming or any other service bulletins that require service, but aren’t necessarily related to safety recalls.

Here is the site where I found the recall campaign no. Note that I had to use Google Translate to covert it to English:

I imagine we are all on the same sale stop for the cruise control issue (STOP024546). |

This will most likely be every iX both past and present. Note that if you already have your iX and you take it in for service, they will not want to give it back to you because of the stop sale - but they can’t force you to keep it there. This was exactly the same with the recent airbag recall.

BMW was able to OTA update the issue some owners had with the high-voltage warning?
Wondering if they can fix this the same way. |

I doubt it. That was just a warning. This will probably require flashing firmware on some sort of module that can’t be done remotely. That’s my guess.

So I decided to just do a build and configure my car from scratch. There’s no stop sale on cars that haven’t been built yet!

I get this as well for the M60:
There is an open technical improvement on this vehicle. Please book an appointment online for your vehicle here by selecting "Service on Demand" or contact your local BMW Service Partner here for more information. Upgrade code: 0061630700 Which appears to be the seat module update (since the M60 didn't need the airbag replaced). Last edited by Paladin1; 06-10-2023 at 04:20 PM.. |

Never got a recall notice on the M60 (Feb 2023), electronic or letter, and the VIN doesn't indicate it on the NA site or the app, but it does show up on the German site (but nothing about the airbag, and I believe the cutoff was post 02/23, inclusive)....

Yours was probably taken care of at the VPC before it got to the dealer.

Got pictures of my iX that has now arrived and sitting at the dealer waiting for the fix. Looks nice but frustrating I cannot have it.

Scheduled this morning for both cars (iX50, M60) for next week - SA estimates 4h. Doesn't show up on the NA recall site or MyBMW, but SA sees both of them (STOP and seat module).
