So, my preferred dealer that sold my family 9 of our last 10 BMWs just got in this 2024 BMW XM Label. This vehicle is a lot roomier than I was expecting. Definitely all about luxury in the backseat. Lots of room in the cargo area. I actually prefer that this one does not have the 22” red and black wheels that most of the XM Labels seem to be ordered with. I really enjoyed driving the base model. Very responsive and tight as you would expect with any true M vehicle.
The dealership was closing and we’re not quite at the lease number that I’m comfortable with, so I put down a deposit until we work that out. If this goes through, I will be trading in my 2023 iX M60. That means there will be a lot less activity on this particular part of the forum! 738 hp of pure bliss! Official color is called Jerez black metallic which is very similar to carbon black metallic that I had on my M550. This thing definitely looks even better in person! There’s a very good chance I’ll be driving this home in the next 24 to 48 hours. |

Which color interior did you choose? I tested drive and like the Deep Lagoon Full Merino Leather one. I suppose Label Red only offers red/black one. For a V8 car, the engine is pretty quiet. But other than the MSRP, what make you think this car is better than other BMW SUVs? I think i7 is more luxurious and comfortable than XM. I suppose you are not a Mercedes fan so G-Wagon as a status symbol doesn't really matter to you. But the depreciation on XM will be very steep. I guess 3-yr lease won't matter that much either. For $170K+, the only ICE SUV I will ever consider is G-Wagon. |

Jerez black is a nice color, has deep blue/purple undertones in the sun. Almost got that on my M3 years ago. I don’t know that I could go back to pumping gas, but it’s a nice ride for sure.

Well, it is a hybrid and 90% of my driving can be done in under 30 miles round-trip, so I could effectively just run electric for short errands.

Fingers crossed! The colour and interior are AWESOME!!! I hope the deal works for you, but we will for sure miss you in our iX forum!
The colour in the pics, looks very much like the Carbon Black Metallic we have on our B8 Alpina. Do you know the difference between Carbon and Jerez? |

Good call! Since you have both vehicles, you’re not getting rid of me that easily. As in life, it’s all going to come down to the numbers. I’m confident we will get there by tomorrow!

Absolutely love it.
I bought the IX for the rear seat room/leg room. How does the XM fare in this area. Have you had a chance to try? |

Thanks! It’s slightly bigger than the iX, so t’s basically on an X7 frame but without the third row seat. I’m 6’2” and even with the front seat all the way back, I had at least four or 5 inches between my knees and the front seat when sitting in the back. Absolutely tons of room in the second row and cargo areas. Because the battery pack is underneath the cargo area, there is no underfloor compartment like there is on the iX. The front seats are incredibly comfortable and really grip you into the seat as what you would expect with a true M vehicle. Since this is a performance based vehicle, it does lack air suspension so it will be a rougher ride, but again this is what you should expect with any M vehicle.
