You can code the speed to refresh 5 times a second vs 2 times a second. I think only pure M cars default to 5 times a second from the factory.

Good video showing how simple launch is to their new target audience: soccer moms?

I really wish the car didn’t squat like that on acceleration. Looks really unsightly.

I hope it doesn’t similarly dive on braking. Seems to be a common theme with electric cars with heavy batteries.

We took around a 100 years to get to those numbers with an ICE. It took an EV like 10 years of development. That's how inefficient an ICE is and how much time and energy we've wasted in that crap.

About time they made it simpler. Porsches have always been great for LC. Brake, gas, GO!

Except it took some 190 years for electric cars to get there. Look up the history of the electric car on the energy.gov website.

Another blisteringly quick EV....
Who would have thunk it?

Seriously, we have known from the onset of the Prius that this was the case. People for yours have been getting their doors.blown off by pedestrian level EVs.

No we EVs with supercar HP and Torque. The torque is available at stall when electric motors have the most torque.

The issue I see looming is the cost of tires.

Also we are now at the point where unless you have a specially prepped surface and sticky tires the numbers aren't going to be any better.

Also if your 0-60 is under 3.5 sec; reaction time is going to play a huge part if you are drag racing. The guy with the faster reaction time has the advantage.

Most EVs will fall flat on their face after about 80mph. Wonder what the 1/4 mile time is looking like.

I hate that doing 0-60mph in under 2 seconds makes my car look like this...but sadly I have to live with the squat.

Eeek, that almost looks worse than the iX. Anti-squat and anti-dive are not new things. They should be adding them to any car capable of such acceleration and braking, and where the price is high enough to absorb the costs.

But we have had so much time and knowledge gained from that 100 years, that it was possible to advance with EV's quickly. Technology as a whole has advanced so much, that it is possible to do it that quickly.

An yet in a 100 years+ we still haven't solved how to store electric energy in smaller foot prints.... choose your poison: inefficient engines or inefficient energy storage ? EVs are the future, just not with such batteries or with another tech for the energy storage... Also batteries are consumable, they wear down... No one stress this enough, this rush to BEVs is so short sighted.

Why does ugly and electric have to go hand in hand .

What's with the stupid tablet display look for dashboards with electrical vehicles? BMW always known for their beautiful and unique dashboard layout/design.

This new look on the iX model looks pretty stupid and ugly!

Are you on the right forum? What's the point of spending time on a forum for a car that is clearly not for you?

It's like me spending time on a Mini Cooper forum...I don't like Mini Coopers but I won't go there telling people that I don't like Mini Coopers.
