Phone call ring only from passenger side

Seem to have a strange issue where the sound is coming out normally when listening to media, but if someone calls when CarPlay is connected, the ring/tune only comes from the passenger speaker.

Anyone else experienced this? Can think where this would be set!

Funny just today got a call in 24 I4 M50 and only heard from drivers side. Of course I'm in US so drivers side is your passenger side. Will look further into it but suspect its where the dedicated speaker is.

Thanks for the reply!

I've done a few more tests and I don't have the issue on my wifes iX1 (idrive 8), but also if I try my work iphone 12, it doesn't do it in the i4?? Tried deleting the pairing and starting again but made no difference.

I don't think it was doing this when I first got the car nearly a month ago.

Phone call ring only from passenger side

If your phone call ringtone only plays through the passenger side speaker, it may indicate an issue with the audio settings or speaker connections. Check your phone's audio output settings and ensure proper Bluetooth or auxiliary connections. If the problem persists, consult a car audio technician for further diagnosis and repairs.
