Laser versus Standard Lights

Anyone have pictures comparing the standard lights to the laser light option?

Thanks for posting this… I’d love to see this comparison. I ordered the laser lights because I was worried the standard lights would look bad. I know it’s really petty but I’m really bothered by BMWs with cheap looking stock headlights. I didn’t want to spend $90k+ and feel ashamed of my lights. First world problems I know

I ordered the lasers for the same reason as well.

I've been told that unlike in X5, laser vs LED won't be that different visually in case of iX. I've tried playing with the configurator and other than the blue accent in the laser headlight assembly, couldn't spot any visible difference. But obviously only in real life this can be confirmed.

Why is laser better vs LED if you disregard how they look in the headlight housing?

I think functionally, they are supposed to be brighter and can cast light over further distances. BUT, I don't know if that gets changed to meet North American regulations…

For most people, they were included in our x5/x7s as part of a package, or we spec'd them out because they looked better (IMO) than the base lights.

Aesthetically, I'm sure BMW could have made them "look" the same…but clearly chose not to. Probably the same strategy as the m-sport package, I guess.

As far as I know, the standard lights don't have cornering lights function…
