Six weeks in storage and reverse halo effect

So finally back to my i8, much joy. I had stored the car for six weeks without plugging in, so as per manual I had an almost full battery charge before I left. Well in temperate weather there was no measurable vampire drain on the traction battery, and the charge state was same as I left. This is great compare to Teslas that will drain themselves just sitting there and a data point if you need to store your i8. Next time I will only eave at 1/2 charge.

And the i8 got me with the reverse halo effect: I just picked up an i3 w/Rex for a commuter car. Never thought I'd drive such a stylistically challenged car, but once in it you can see the family resembelence. Problem is not sure if wife will ever let me actually drive the i3....

Perhaps you can dissuade your wife from disallowing you driving to drive her i3 by offering her access to your i8!

On a more inquisitive note, what's with the 1/2 battery charge concept?

By the way, welcome back to the US Epirali!

I DO NOT like your idea about the i8, better idea is she can get her own!

Best practice for battery longevity is to store at 40-50% charge state. Low or high charge states cause more long term degradation.
