Comfort Access
New to me '16 i8. The passenger (right) side comfort access isn't working. An OBD scanner is showing all of the keyless antennas working, so I'm guessing it's the touch pad itself?
Does anyone know the part number for the touch pad / prox sensor unit on the i8? I'm having some difficulty locating it. Thanks! |

I had an issue with Comfort access and the agent replaced the Touch pad but this didn't solve the problem. After much investigation they found that one of the wires had come loose behind the Touch pad. Just letting you know - may be worth checking?

I had the same problem under warranty. Basically, if by touching the touchpad, you should hear a "clack" noise in the trigger box which is located at the front left, near the wheel. No noise, it's the touchpad. Otherwise the case or electronics. Warning: in case of new paint or covering there are problems with the touchpad.
