For anyone interested, I have a connect for an i8 in SC. It is a 2015 Pure Impulse. She is willing to work with you and is an absolute pleasure to work with. The price is similar to what you have seen on the forum here, depending on your states tax situation and money down, MSD's, etc

I got my M3 from her. PM me if you would like her contact info.

Yeah...even BMW of Santa Monica that has two 2014 on their lot. Don't know why this is.

That's my plan. I'm in no hurry. I'll just wait until 2017's starts coming out and snatch me a 2016.

For all you non-believers, I am paying $1,040 a month including CA taxes (9%) for a 24 month 10k miles per year. I paid $2,500 down which included first month's payment and shipping to CA (negotiated with $0 down). 0 MSDs as well. The one downside is CA registration was not included and I had to get a smog check (+$900) to the deal.

That's a great deal. No dealer has been trying to work with me. Not even close to that sales price. Congrats!

What dealer from Alabama did you obtain this from? Also, do you mind sharing your sales rep contact information?

Went to the dealership today to look at a 2015 impulse. MSRP was $150k

They wanted $135k. I was able to negotiate down to 126,500 after credits.

I wanted to trade in my 2015 M3 where I had negative equity of $4k.

Monthly Payment was $1,090 (7% taxes included) with $13k down. I was on the verge of getting the deal done but I didn't think it was good enough. What do you guys think?

Buy or lease?

Far too much money down for a lease especially on this kind of vehicle.

MSDs is another route to go with a lease- but if it's a purchase, not bad at all.

Here is an offer I got

MSRP 148,295
Selling Price $120,000
Residual 63% or $93,426
MF .00178

Sales Tax: $9448
Cap Cost Reduction: $5k

Monthly Depreciation: $845 (includes taxes)
Interest: $377

Total is $1,251

They got the sales tax wrong. It should only be $3,400. Money factor is also marked up slightly. With this correction, it should be $993 a month with $5k down. I also think 24 months might be better.

For April the tier 1 MF is 0.001380 for an interest rate of 3.312%. If you do the full 7 MSD - the MF gets reduced to 0.000890 for an interest rate of 2.136%.

You might want to run the calc without the mark up and assume all 7 MSD (MF 0.000890). I am guessing that you would be pretty close to eliminating that $5K down.

If you can get them to remove the mark up on the MF, seems to me you have a nice deal. Good luck

Here is the lease I was able to negotiate. $3980 at signing, then 23 payment of $912.04, this is a 10K/24 month

The Illinois tax is built into the "Gross Capitalized cost"

UPDATE: redid the lease with MSD and now the payment is $816. MSD = ~$6000, save $100 /month or $2400 for the length of the lease... Best "investment" for $6000 .. 33%

For those that have PM'd me - you need to find a 2015, not a 2016 for sale. Based on this simple autotrader search there are still TONS of them out there. Lowest advertised price was $119k at autohaus BMW which is apparently in St Louis.

Both of those cars are sold and the msrp on those was 139 cars not 148 like the rest of you guys have here

And yes autotrader does show lots of them but dealers are not playing ball

There are some pretty good deals around at this point. There should be no difficulty finding the right deal for a '15. If I were in the market it would be very hard to do anything but wait for the i8S.

Cheers-mk

Guys - What do you think of this deal?

They used this car as a demonstrator car. It has 2k miles on it unfortunately. Think I should pass? I'm not planning on owning this car.
