Hey all- so im curious- is lease trader a legit place for takeovers? Any experience here?
I've had experience with swapalease- but the fact that lease trader wants to run my credit- simply to contact a seller (which I don't even know if the cars still available) seems unnecessary. Looking to take over an i8 anything sub- 1400 a month, or willing to take yours off your hands if you're willing to offer an incentive to balance out the payments.

I have never used lease trader but have used swapalease twice to transfer a lease and it works great.

Found two on leasetrader but I've yet to have a conversation with someone who's used it so I'm trying to see if it's just bait- or legit

+1 on the Swapalease recommendation. Just moved out of my 2016 i8.
The process (from beginning to end) took around 2 1/2 months, but that was because several underqualified people tried to apply for credit. So, it slowed the process a little bit. I hear it usually goes faster than that. |

probably too late for an answer, but I found the best option for i8 here in this forum;
I transfered my X6M lease on swapalease however the i8 offers were very bad I looked into leasetrader too but when it asked for a credit check I said no thanks (plus they had mainly bad offers) |

I've been using Swapalease since 2007. It's MUCH better than leasetrader ! I feel like leasetrader is practically a scam . If you're not a registered user with Swapalease at least you can ask the seller if the car is available.. leasetrader posts a bunch of fake deals , doesn't tell you whether they're pending or not then you wasted money signing up with them , once you start inquiring, you'll see half those cars are taken ( which makes me think they were never available to begin with )
To top it off , leasetrader wants to run your credit and even charge like 2-300 to help assist in the process !!! They can F themselves!! I don't need your help filling out paperwork!! |
