As Christmas approaches.....
This really puts things into perspective. And I'll admit it, I cried....still welling up as I'm writing this thread post.

I read about this yesterday and it's a total heartbreaker. We have a Santa Claus that looks the part, and lives this part, just like this man. Any time some kid recognizes him outside of the photoshoots or the mall, he always takes time to acknowledge the kid and send them off with a smile. I'm so glad there are people like this out there who are genuinely good people.
As for this Santa, he may have had the hardest assignment any Santa has ever had. I'm not religious by any means but bless this guy for allowing the child to maintain their innocence and dignity in their last moments. Great post, OP. Everyone hug their kids because last night when I got home, I squeezed my 7 and 2 year old daughters. |

Didn't click for fear of crying at work. Is this the kid who died in Santa's arms, that my oldest told me about last night?
