Unhappy Starbuck's prices...what are you guys paying?

Me and wifey usually buy our Starbuck's at least 3-4 times a week but for awhile there almost 5 days a week. just for a Venti Caramel Frap with an extra shot of expresso and a Venti Caramel Macchiato cost us $11.55 at Barnes and Noble and if we go to any other Starbuck's it's $11.40. I remember back in early 2000 when it was only I think $3.95 for a Venti. now it's outrageously high but yet i'm still paying it without hesitation $46.20 a week which comes to $184.80 a month in drinks!

how many of you guys are Starbuck's drinkers and about how much a week are you guys spending and what type of drinks?

Wife will get a grande white chocolate mocha for $5.88 and I'll sometimes get a grande chai latte for $5.33 (but I rather just make chai at home)

Brew your own, it is better coffee and a hell of a lot cheaper. I don't understand the whole Starbucks craze... unless you're also walking around in yoga pants and ugg boots.

Thats not coffee. Get a french press and make it thick. Put that money towards a vacation or something useful.

Maybe twice per year and it's just a regular coffee at an airport or something. Wife and daughter go about twice per month.

i buy peets coffee, grind then make espresso drinks at home. once in a while i get something from a coffee shop but the expense and time seems wasted. i can see people spending $500 a month on this stuff if its a daily habit yikes

Zero. I think their “regular” coffee is mediocre at best and it pisses me off when they overfill the cup and tell me to finish preparing it myself with 1/2 and 1/2 and sugar on a messy counter. I don’t like any of the fancy / trendy coffee drinks. I much prefer Dunkin coffee (or Tim’s if visiting Canada).

$7.40 every day. 5 shot venti latte. No flavor, no whip, just strong cappuccino without the foam. I was going to the local DD which is much chesper but their espresso macine was always on the fritz. I have coffee at home before I leave but I have a need for caffeine.

Brew a pot each morning that we split in, ironically, Starbucks plastic cups. Drink it on the way into work and grab another at the work station.

Crazy what people spend on that stuff. Damn good smoothies cost half of what Starbucks charges for fancy bean water!

Starbucks is for suckers. It’ll all about the free coffee at work. We have like 10 different types to choose from including Peets.

Grande iced coffee two to three times a day 7 days a week. 2.95 a pop, not including my wife and kids who get drinks and treats at times.

This.

I also learned not to try a new pre-workout drink on a day I go to the gym before work.
