BMW i8 Production renders based on latest spyshots
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Now we know how BMW i headlights are going to look like I have made an update to these renderings, in BMW i3 color schemes. I will update the first post with this as well. Solar Orange with Matte Grey Trim Andesite Silver with BMW i Blue Trim Arravani Grey with BMW i Blue Trim Laurel Grey with BMW i Blue Trim Iconic Silver with BMW i Blue Trim Capparis White with BMW i Blue Trim Here are a few overlay renders of the production BMW i8 based off the latest spyshots sporting production wheels, posted here on Bimmerpost. I too am anticipating a render by Wildspeed soon because no doubt it would be amazing. Here is a render fix for those who is wondering what the production car could look like I missed some of the car's hood shut lines oops, I have now updated it. See the large image By request here are a few other color combos... not sure if these trim+paint combos will make production, imagination is limitless. This is how the headlights could look like based on from what I can see in the current Spyshots... I know it's signaling right but is turning left. Last edited by kv12; 07-30-2013 at 11:34 AM.. |

I second the motion. The Black with blue highlights pops nicely. Great job all the same!

Agree 100%. If this is BMWs design language for a hot sports car, they're not speaking to me at all.
The Fisker Karma, any Aston, Jaguar XKR, Ferrari F12, hell, even the new 'Vette (with a few less vents) and the new Viper - those are all beautiful sports cars. This looks like something you'd see in a cheesy B movie set in the future. What happened to the design team that produced the Z8?? I'm hoping this is just the approach for their electric vehicles and we don't see this anywhere else. |

The BMW i Design language conveys efficiency and performance... rather then being Ultimate Driving Machine like BMW traditionally known for. I have never driven an i3 or i8 before... but I am looking forward to if they send me there to drive it, but no doubt it will handle and feel like a BMW should, even though it is styled and marketed as a "BMW i" product. |
