I’m hearing lots of delays, especially the M50. I do hope you guys get your cars soon because it truly is stellar, way better all rounder than my M5 Comp was and just as fast if not faster in the real world.

Yeah, I hope so too.
I've waited two weeks shy of a year right now. I guess I've leaned patience.

On the other hand a buddy picked up a 2018 M5 Comp with only 5k miles this weekend.
Individual color, individual full leather along with all options and the Bower's sound system. I am a bit jealous.

The M5 Comp was a brilliant machine it truly was but as with all these HP monsters you really need to open up the taps to appreciate its performance and then you stand a risk of losing your license because unlike the i4M50 which is all about instant acceleration low down the M5 shines brightest at higher speed.

Also with the current fuel prices even M5 owners are watching the fuel gauge so being that little easier on the loud pedal is a necessity unlike the i4M50 which is costing me a third to run than the M5 so I don’t have the same concerns and can use that pedal whenever without a care in the world.

So whilst I loved the M5 you can see by my words I’m enjoying the i4M50 even more.

Hey, ai hear what you say about the M5 Comp, but we are talking about my buddy that currently has an E39 M5, E60 M5, E92 M3 and now the 2018 M5 Comp. He plays out of my league. I have a kid graduating college (I paid all tuition) she has no debt and two other kids in private school. Based on the money I spend on tuition, I buy an M50 every year. 😭

All I can say is; you suck!! 😄

I was told by the BMW Genius today that they have not updated the system. My car still shows an estimated week of 21 for build, but no week assigned.

She said it should go back to "scheduled for production" next week. If it doesn't change on Monday or Tuesday call back.

Very nice. Same colour as my order. I’ve gone for a Tacora Red interior & 19” wheels (to keep the range) on my M50.

So I’m down to 50% battery and have 137 miles showing - not bad.

Interested to hear what are people letting the mileage run down to? I don’t particularly want to run it down to 20% (prob around 50 miles?) just in case a trip comes up at short notice.

66% with 165 miles.

I usually charge about 40% depends, i've let it run down to 30s before.

On big trips i'll charge to 100, but only had a couple.

Usually just do 80, what are your charging habits like?

I’ve Not had to charge mine yet as only had it 1 week, I think I’ll drop to about 30% and charge to 80%.

Shout out to the white debadged (xdrive but no M50) I4 M50 I gave the thumbs up-to on the M3 yesterday tea time. Followed you in 530e for a few miles, both driver and passenger have got I4 M50's on order!
Was not sure about the white until we passed you as you filtered of near Farnborough but man that looked very neat. First one I have seen like that and it really does have road presence. I think you were on 19"s which looked great and well proportioned.
Very Nice!

Well, I’ve had the car a week now, and after being a little underwhelmed when I had a 1 hour test drive in a demonstrator prior to mine being delivered, I have to say I really love it. Really really love it, it’s such a brilliant general drive, smooth, refined, quiet and like lightning when you want it to be. The tech is also superb, there’s another thread debating the merits of the HUD, but for me it’s one of the stand outs on the car - brilliantly executed.

Finally saw another one today (black sport).

Charging at the same InstaVolt (averaging 88kwh).

Shows the importance of the correct colour and spec….enough said.

Finally picked mine up today. Car had been at dealers since mid May but decided towait until 1st June.
Tanzanite looks great in the flesh and works well - sunny day today so it looked even better. My i4M50 was the first one the dealer has received.
Just going through the manual setting everything up - there are lots of settings.
Trying to get the kick tailgate to work - it is in the settings on the idrive but so far not managed to get it working.

Congrats. Pics please! Also, make sure the kick tailgate function wasn't deleted! It's being deleted here in the US for most people.

Kick tailgate facility now working fine. It would appear that it only works with the actualcar key and does not work if you use a digital key on your phone. I ordered more or less every tech option and so far i cannot find any deletions. My dealer also did not think anything had been omitted.

Touch iDrive controller and passenger lumbar support were the only deletions on ours.

Confirmed from the VIN decoder…

I think the passenger lumbar deletion is now kind of standard. It's in my order form from November…
Go on the configurator now and you have to order the M seats to get passenger lumbar support.
