F1 2019: German GP - Hockenheim (July 28)

the race that Vettel's career started to go down last year from here.. maybe this year here Ferrari can start to favor Leclerc more.. Bottas wants to stay in the game as Haas drivers are trying to stay in F1 game..

Perhaps VET can punt VER out of the country with a skidding/sliding patented maneuver....and GRO @ Haas sent to the car cleaning team to prevent further tragedy.

We've had some issues with the 19 car development program this year that have been identified and already corrected a few months ago. Problem is, the effects of that won't be realized for a few months, considering the size and structure of our team. It's an incredibly tough sport to be in. Last race, we had race-pace to be well into the top 10 - but can't bring home points if your drivers crash into one another on L1, cut the tires, and damage the cars. One of tire carcasses beat the life out of the floor on one of the cars. Nice job, . Sponsor drama make this season just that much more unbearably embarrassing.

The way i see it.. Redbull and MAX are getting pace !! Bottas is more confident but needs one gear more to keep up with the reigning Champ... and Leclerc should start getting better treatment, yet again Ferrari strategist are having trouble keeping either of their drivers up front...

As for the mid-field, weather a fluke or not, Mclaren is looking promising.

Fingers cross for more battles like Austria and British GPs!!

Looks like it will be almost 100 degrees Fri, but cool down to low 80’s Sat/Sun. Chance of rain Sat. So no heat issues for the Mercs. Although knowing Merc they have probably already found and addressed heat issues from Austria.

Yeah . Landward our weather prediction for wednesday and thursday is locally 104 degrees (40°Celsius)
It's our second heat wave in this summer . Next saturday and sunday +/- 86 degrees (30°Celsius) with possible thunderstorms .
Hot is good for RB-Honda . Too bad for the Mercs ....

Whoa, I knew about that fire but never realized the Boss had actually gotten burnt (visor open I guess?). He was very lucky not to have long term scars from that incident!

I miss refueling and of course the old Hockenheim circuit of course.

But it looks like one of the pit crew guys opened it slightly right before the gas sprayed.

Either way, that looks terrible.

I just watched the video again (at 5 sec.) You're right .Probably the crew guy wanted to clean the visor , but got gas sprayed over him. But still the visor remained closed for +/- 90 %.

Jos was very...very lucky , that the pit crew took action in a few sec. to extinguish hell fire.

Today the weather prediction is 40° Celsius (code-red) but I just read (4-PM) on my thermometer 44°C *in the shade* !
Tomorrow , weather prediction is even hotter ! I've never seen this before...

Drivers will get 50°+ Celsius in their cars => https://nieuws.meteovista.be/24-7-20...en-onweersbui/

Maybe this is good news for general race spectators. Might mean the Mercedes will have overheating issues again and we'll get a good race similar to Austria! We can hope, but let's see the reality this weekend.

EDIT** Just looked up the weather, should be an interesting weekend. 102F (39C) projected for Friday, then 90F (32C) with scattered Thunderstorms on Saturday, and finally 78F (26C) with Rain and Thunder on Sunday. Unpredictable weather might mean more unpredictable race?
