Coding the I8

Hi there,

I'm considering coding the I8. First hit on google is Carly, closely followed by an offering from Bimmercode.

Both look similar. Has anyone got any experience with either? It looks like there are other options too, which seem to require a laptop, although the simplicity of a mobile app is appealing!

I'm interested in any thoughts and guidance on this. I absolutely want to disable the seatbelt alarm, and I like the idea of other tweaks such as enabling cameras in motion and video in motion. I'm not sure either of the mobile options will allow me to change the colours of the interior lights though, it'd be great if someone could confirm either way.

I have Bimmercode from my M4. Done the i8. Changed mirror dip level, enabled auto folding mirrors on lock (without the pause), beep on lock, rear DRL's on in daytime. Could do loads more but that is fine for me. Works perfectly.

Sounds good. With bimmercode it looks like you can pick from an array of different devices, is that right?

Does it also do diagnostics? And is it possible to track performance data suck as 0-60 times?

Can you confirm if there is any way to enable euro specs and anti dazzle for the laser lights? How about controlling the roadster's too with key fob? The no you.
