Driving at night with JUST parking lights and fogs?

Does anyone else do this?
Does anyone know if this is legal, or has anyone been hassled?
I love the way the car looks at night with just the angel eye parking lights and with the fog lights on it illuminates the road well enough to see. i feel like it should be legal, but in combination with that and my very dark tint, i feel like im just asking for trouble. Im worried about getting pulled over because of the lights, then the cop not being able to right be a ticket for that, so them giving me a tint ticket. Plus the fact that im young and have piercings and tattoos never helps these situations. they may even think the car is stolen.

Take it from an old guy who is covered with ink. Just turn your lights on. Less friction is better.
I have tint up front as well (nothing like yours) and I don't instal my front plate but that's the extent of my lawlessness these days.

You have xenons, and you don't want to use them? I don't get it.

In the UK you would be pulled over by the first police car that you passed.

Use of fog lights is illegal unless in poor visibility - even though many (mostly young) drivers seem to use them as a 'styling' feature!!

Yeah, great idea! You should also NEVER turn your lights on when it's raining, or foggy, or twilight. Every time I see someone like you on the road I pray they will get pulled over and fined.

Your headlights serve TWO purposes - so that you can see when it's dark, and so that OTHERS CAN SEE YOU. Some people act like they're going to get an electric bill in the mail if they use their headlights. Either that or they are just soooooooooo cool. Do us all a favor, if you have the option put your lights on auto and leave them that way!! Thanks.

I just leave it on Auto all the time. Let the car decide.

Although I do understand cd's point, the Halos are stunning at night, very stylish indeed.

But at least he knows what he is gambling with, ticket-wise.

In Canada DRLs have been law for many years now, and they make sense. I no longer look for cars in the rear-views, I look for headlights.

I hope you do get a tint ticket.
And a light ticket.
And a foglight ticket.

You are making the roads unsafe for yourself and other drivers.
You are doing so for the most petty of reasons, to look cool.
You need to seriously rethink the logic and life priorities that make you think these are quality decisions.
You need to think about people other then yourself.

Did you really just ask this question? Please use some common sense.

Amen brother. See, this is why we have to have technology like DRLs and Auto sensing lights. And why on many cars this is not something you can program. Because there are far too many people out there with IQs in the single digits.

Hey cdheaven,

I'm sure it does to you and a few other drivers BUT, the vast majority sadly will not notice your car with the lights on just how you like them.

Additionally, you are inside the car and cannot see how nice your proposed lighting setup looks anyway.

Do the safe thing by other drivers, pedestrians, yourself, your friends and your loved ones and drive responsibly with the appropriate lights ON.

Responsible ones looking after each other I trust.

You did however remind me to add in my previous post that cdheaven could have his cake by switching on his lights before dusk when he drives at that time, just like yourself.

Cool look for a cool car at a cool time!!!

full of cops or blind people. i dunno. maybe you guys have noticed but the foglights light up the whole freakin street. the fog lights on our cars are brighter then most cheaper cars regular headlights. if you guys are too blind to see a car with angel eyes AND fog lights, you are obviously the ones that need to be off the road.

They may "light up the whole freakin street" but only like 5 feet in front of you, while the beam on your xenon adaptive headlights will stretch MUCH MUCH further as well as tilt around the corner so that you dont do something stupid like hit a deer or what not.

BTW, I'm pretty sure I'm not blind cause I can still see your post and your ridiculous argument to keep your headlights off at night.

Yeah, if your car happens to have headlights, you probably should use them

I get easily hypnotized/distracted when I see a nice set of blue xenons in the oncoming traffic. Imagine what some guy would think when he saw four gold rings coming at him!

Why buy a car that has the convenience of auto headlights and not even use them?

I leave mine off of auto mode,

I don't like them turning on in tunnels or whatnot

I think I'm smart enough to know when I need to turn the lights on.
