And a really good rundown of the B&W system (and reportedly HK not lagging much). Pretty impressive (head phones on!):

Funny how he states in his final thoughts that he liked HK better than the B&W.

Not sure I agree with that after he cranked up the Bass, no way does my HK sound like that.

I think he was referring to the HK in the i4.

Every single review that I've seen is the same. Blah, blah, look at that grill, blah, blah, quiet, blah, blah, Hans Zimmer, blah, acceleration, blah... I know this isn't a track car and the M60 isn't a real M but how does the iX handle corners? Is the body lean similar to an air suspension X5 4.0i? Is its more like an X5 with eARS? Can a comparison be drawn between the 540i and standard suspension to the iX 50 and the M550i to the iX M60?

I’ve always thought SavageGeese has very thoughtful reviews and this is no exception. They point out the good and the bad and spend less time on the looks. I may come to a slightly different conclusion than they do but I do think I basically fit into the demographic of who the YouTube channel points out is the person that wanted an IX. I do think they bring up some interesting points about the maintenance of the vehicle particularly small collisions. What is oddly interesting (and I’m sure my insurance company will figure this out eventually) is that my insurance cost was actually lower with this vehicle than the Model Y Performance (go figure). They do really harp on the slow DC fast charging on this vehicle which I guess is a fair assessment from a residual value perspective, however, most people are not driving long stretches of roads everyday and DC fast charging. Most will charge at 80% and come home at 50-60% and charge in their garage (I assume most people in an apartment/condo are not purchasing $100k vehicles but this does exclude people in places like NYC I assume but I’d assume those same people have co-ops with charging stations somewhere).

I also have a Rivian R1S on order and that vehicle has more storage, 3 rows, and about 300hp more than this vehicle. I’ve seen some in the wild although never sat in one to drive and I think they look nice. And I’m locked into a price that is about $20k less than my IX50 which is quite compelling. However, that seems even more beta than the IX and I assume will be much less refined (I’ve seen multiple reviews complaining about the air suspension noise in the vehicle). We will see whether I go through with that purchase. IN theory, we would get rid of our X5 m50I for that vehicle but I’m still not sure I’m comfortable to be a 100% only EV household for those once in a while road trips.

As it stands right now, I think this SavageGeese review is the definitive review that people should watch to understand what they are getting themselves into if purchasing one (although I do think they overlooked the rear seating space in this review).

Hi, in this recent video, the iX is the overall best one.

You should try to test drive the R1S. It’s definitely has a high SUV feel. I have an R1T and it rides well. The Rivian isn’t as efficient as the BMW, but has a giant battery.

How does the iX compare to the Tesla Model Y performance? When I sat in the iX it reminded me of a wagon or minivan more than a SUV, perhaps it’s because of the center console. I traded my Model Y in on the Rivian.

Im just getting acquainted with the iX, so I appreciate the videos. I still haven’t driven one yet.
