I'm guessing the $8 is for all of these other features, not simply remote start.

So after I pulled my Z06 deposit after the Ciocca fiasco, I picked up a 2022 3.0 fresh off the truck at the dealership on Christmas Eve. First 2-seater sports car for me, and so far it's been a joy to drive. B58 power is as advertised. Mod process will be fun.

Congrats on the Supra. I see you have a thing for white cars. I haven't seen many Supras in white but it looks very clean.

I wish that I had room and disposable income for a 3rd car. I really want one of these but they just don't make for good winter cars at all.

It's really hard to up here. Dealers don't get to many and when they do they are in the showroom and sell fast. I'm going by the Car & Driver's long term test where they had a lot of issues in the snow.

Our Supra's cold-weather shoes comprise a quartet of rare and expensive Pirelli Sottozero Serie II tires specifically designed for sports-car use. The rears were originally developed for the Aston Martin DB9, while the fronts were engineered for the Lamborghini Aventador. However, their soft compound and extra grip in cold and slush weren't enough when white stuff piled up and packed itself under the Supra's low-slung underbelly. "This car is an absolute disaster in deep snow," reported staff editor Annie White. "It gets stuck very easily, and you then have to dig out the whole underbody before you can move again. I got stuck three times in the span of an hour and eventually figured out that if I just drove faster I could power through areas of built-up snow—which is more fun. But still, not good."
Was bulletproof reliable though.

This BMW in Toyota garb has continued to be about as bulletproof as a Camry. It's recently been in for two scheduled service visits, at 22,197 miles and 30,391 miles. Both trips to the dealer included an oil and filter change, a cabin air-filter replacement, and a multipoint inspection; a fresh engine air filter also was swapped in at the second stop.

Well duh… the vehicle is low. Of course it'll get stuck if the snow is up to the skirt…

I drive my severely lowered 1er in the winter no problem. Of course I've gotten stuck in deep deep snow. A tug and you're out, or if there's no one around, shovel. It only happens in parking lots anyway, so just got to be careful and pick a clear spot.

Congratulations, that's an awesome purchase. You're more than welcome to join us G29 owners on the Z4 forum as we don't see many (any?) Supra owners.
For modding the car and so on, the Supra forums are better, though, hardly anything available for the Z4.

no, brother, there are well known tricks to avoid this. A dealer can also track back a piggyback like JB4 or Racechip. That’s why A) you need to apply the mentioned trick and B) you need to find a ‘friendly’ dealership or indy shop which will service and repair your tuned car.

I've never heard of an EcuTek tune, or other flash tune, that can override the flash counter. Indy shops don't care about a tuned car, the only thing to really worry about is getting a drivetrain-related, warranty claim denied.

I'd be curious to see how the could do it with the piggyback.
