Anyone else use the phone app and finds it randomly wants you to log back in?

I've set a pin code and usually that gets me in but it frequently wants me to re-enter email and password and setup a new pin plus walk through the "what's new" nonsense.

Very annoying! Maybe it's because I don't use it very often and it times-out?

It is not just you, but I don't know what the cause is. It definitely happens with app updates and phone reboots, so presumably it is a session related timeout. It seems to be able to maintain the session outside of those scenarios, though.

I think you're right about it being time-based, I'll endeavor to use the app more often to see if it cures it.

I even turned auto updates off just in case but still happens. Nothing worse than going to turn on my pre-conditioning only to have to re-enter user and password details!

I find the display key or Alexa best for getting the climate control going remotely. I tend to only use the app for this function when I am quite far away from the car and nowhere near any of my Alexa devices.

My iPhone 6S began to require me to select automobile speaker mode every time I answered the phone in the i8 and the M4. Otherwise it would play through the phone only. I could do nothing to fix it until I moved to an iPhone 8S. Now it operates normally (on the M4; I no longer have the i8).

Didn't know Alexa could do that (I don't have one anyway but might have a look!)
I usually use the app because my key is out of range of the car as well (my garage is too far from the house and usually in the basement during the day).

Alexa works very well - no faffing around with phones / apps...

Sounds like you need Santa to deliver you an Alexa for Christmas!
