My car was built July 23 and I'm not exactly sure when it got to port but it has been there at least a few days. There are three vessels leaving for Galveston next week so I'm not expecting any movement before that. As far as getting from factory to port, just seems random.

Stuck in “awaiting carrier assignment” since late June/ early July. Also coming to Galveston. And I also called the genius hotline and they confirmed that “my garage” is accurate. Hopefully those vessels leaving for Galveston next week will show some movement on the My garage app. Then I’ll just “patiently” track the boat’s path…

Horizon Highway (k-line, due in Galveston 26 Aug) left Bremerhaven about an hour ago. Are you on board? Who knows!

Morning Composer (Wallenius, due in Galveston 31 Aug) is now going into Bremerhaven to take its place.

made 7/22/22 and still stuck in the factory awaiting carrier assignment... I think that patch of factory parking lot is warmed up pretty good by this car perching on top of it for almost 3 weeks now.

Ours finished the same day, maybe they're parked next to each other... BMW needs to hire someone to figure out logistics, it is strange that ones done after 7/22/22 are already loaded on boats. When I called the genius line they confirmed there were never any recalls or other open campaigns on my M60. Getting annoyed by lack of information, even my SA has zero idea why it is sitting there (he has 4 customer ordered vehicles sitting in Awaiting Carrier Assignment right now, and he is 1 SA at 1 dealership, this problem is probably quite large).

Morning Composer (Wallenius) just left Bremerhaven. Horizon Highway left Belgium today as well. Both headed for Galveston landing end of the month.

I figure if I were on Horizon Highway my garage would have updated by now, but who knows. Here's hoping we are all on Morning Composer!

mygarage typically won't update until at least the day after it left port and I've yet to see any status changes on a weekend.

There's still hope for you.

Yeah I'm not expecting it to update right away, but if it's going to update it would probably do it in 1-2 days, which is why I'm thinking not on Horizon Highway which left Thursday.

Tomorrow makes it 4 weeks that my M60 has been sitting in a parking lot outside the factory "awaiting carrier assignment". So far, zero allocations released the entire month of June meant I had to accept the $3700 price increase, now it has sat so long I have lost out on the $7500 tax credit. I understand the shipping issues, in theory, but iXs that finished after mine are shipped to the US already, verified there were never any open recalls or any other issues. Unless something magical happens and my dealer sells it to me below msrp for all this, then I will probably be walking away, no longer excited for the vehicle.

That is brutal - sorry to hear that. The tax credit definitely dampened my excitement amount the vehicle. I sat at port for over a month but awaiting carrier assignment is also frustrating.

It's been discussed in numerous threads so please use the search function. TLDR: Airbag software and Head Unit Software. If you have the VIN of your car go to https://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app and check the status of your car's updates.

Very strange as mine was only there for like 3 days. Then exactly on time at Baltimore and arrived in 3 days to the dealership. Been sitting waiting for me to pick it up for a week will grab it tomorrow

I think this is a very nice piece of information. I never thought about this... thinking that the BMW factory or the VPC will take care of that update as things move along...
