Question: do i8 roadsters suffers from similar issues as coupes?

Take for example the windscreen cracks: is this a problem on the roadster as well?

I have not had any issues with either. Had coupe for 3 years and roadster for 6 months.

thanks you for this. Can you please give some color as to what you feel having moved from coupe to roadster? I mean generally speaking. About to do the same.

Roadster instead of Coupe

Picked up my Roadster in July 2019 & have driven over 8,000 miles without any problems whatsoever.
I had planned on purchasing a Coupe in 2015, but the seats were uncomfortable for my wife (the seam in the seat hit the middle of her back).
We flew from Kentucky to the Los Angeles Auto Show in December 2018 specifically to sit in the new i8 Roadster on display there. Unfortunately, the Roadster had not been plugged in while it was being set up, we were told, and no one was allowed to get in it. They even posted a security guard by each door to ensure that no one would try and sit in it! (see photos). Still, we were easily able to see that the seat back seam was noticeably higher in the Roadster then in the Coupe that was displayed next to the Roadster at the show.
Subsequently, we bought the first, and for quite awhile, the only i8 Roadster in the State. The seats were much more comfortable to her then the Coupe.
We love it! It is a blast to drive and have absolutely no regrets. Worth the wait!

The strud on the driver door will be replaced next week on my 2019 Roadster. The car have only done 4000 km app 2500 miles. So this weak point is still present.
