Yes. I am in the US and have used Dr. Colorchip. C02 is the paint code for KristallWeiss. This is a 3 stage paint (base coat, pearl coat, clear coat) and it is incredibly difficult to repair a paint chip with using 3 coats and make it look like the factory paint. So, Dr. Colorchip offers ONLY the base coat. It looked like this when I repaired my paint chip:
I also ordered a kit from expresspaint.com and they provided me with the base coat as well as the pearl coat and clear coat in 3 separate bottles. I applied one coat, waited a day, applied another coat, until all 3 coats were on the car. It didn't look any better than Dr. Colorchip, and Dr. Colorchip was easier to work with. Here are the i8 paint codes: http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcod...f=BMW&model=i8

I've bought one of these guys kits:
https://www.chipex.co.uk/ Used one on my Porsche Boxster years ago and it was relatively successful, but not tried this two stage kit on the i8 yet. Will post pics when I get round to it. Oh and don't pay full price, they are always offering discount codes all over the place... |
