i4 Brooklyn Grey... is not Brooklyn Grey

Configure any colour and compare the swatch on the right to the car colour of the i4 and they match except Brooklyn Grey which looks more like a dirty Mineral White. Contrast to an M440i configured in Brooklyn Grey which looks how the i4 should in this colour. Nearly dismissed this as too pale until I saw it in the flesh.

Yes the configuration can't show brooklyn grey correct at all. Once I saw it in real life I was not in doubt that I would choose this color !

As a Brooklyn native, I am saddened to hear my home borough is represented by such a drab and lifeless color.

Maybe it commemorates the Verrazano Bridge?

dont worry it's a very nice color
i feel like there are a lot of colors like this on the market but otherwise its is looking very good especilally at low light

It's named after the Brooklyn Street Circuit in Red Hook, not many living things in that area:

That actually makes sense! It's the perfect color for an EV in this case as it's so close to The Battery!

Hah! They obviously should have saved the color for the i4 release instead of "wasting" it's debut on the ICE G80.

Too bad the commentators at the Formula E races earlier this year weren't familiar enough to be as witty. If I recall correctly Day 1 of the double header at the Brooklyn E-Prix ended up with a few cars using all of their energy prior to the end of the race. For those unfamiliar, Formula E is 45 minutes + 1 complete lap, and the 45 minute mark hit just after the leader went over the start/finish line, so he and others pushed hard on what they thought was the last lap, using too much juice before they realized that their final lap wasn't complete and they had one more to go.
