Hey Guys,

BMW Canada recently provided our store with the pre-production i4 edrive40. OF course i had to make some walkaround videos. Very cool to see this new EV car in person!

Enjoy

i4 definitely wins the aesthetics contest between these two. Thanks for posting.

Interesting car for sure; thanks for posting! One element I despise is the new iDrive screen and experience. It looks like someone put an aftermarket system into the car and secured it with some plastic legs. Why isn't BMW doing a more integrated design and flow into the rest of the dash and front of the car? I love the way my X7 looks. The iDrive visuals are way out there IMO; I hope they improve the instrumentation and control visuals.

The jacked up xDrive look on this car does not match the M Performance intention.

I know, right? BMW still thinks their xdrive is bought by those who have take their car to ski vacation and they dont want Audi to have all the sales.

Meanwhile people who buy xdrive range from those who live in SoCal (why!) to those who dont want to buy winter tyres (wtf) to those who just get like 4 days of freezing temps and wanna play it safe. And everything in between.

Some cars you cant lower from factory (like above, or e-drive cars today), while others now can be (new xdrive G20 for example.. yet in past, old 3 series if came with Xdrive they always sat high.

So many threads searching for lowering springs for xdrive, BMW should take their budget and take a piece of it and buy a clue...

PS. Nordic climate for last 15 years for me, always drove rwd cars, except once when I had 4wd, Msport car that sat high but had the full kit. It was dumb to spec Msport, but extra ride height on F11 wagon was super in snow, I gotta admit.

I don't think the e40 model is available with xDrive.

Hopefully they will come out with factory M performance lowering front springs and a quick reprogramming of the rear air springs to resolve some of the 4x4 stance.

Car needs 10-20mm drop and 10-15mm spacers and it's a perfect OEM+ look (hint, that's my first mod when mine arrives )

Montreal i4 and iX walk around

They bring the same vehicle today in Montreal along with the iX. The exterior and interior colors are very nice. The overall quality of the car is very good! I was able to open the hood and look below...it's almost empty! With the iX, the hood cannot be opened, but the emblem pop up to fill the liquid for the windshield. The carbon core can be seen when you open the door of the tail gate

I think they can sort out an after market item to replace the "engine" bay cover with that
