Messed up bottom of the car
There were some bricks on the highway.... and I ended up having to drive over a few and it messed up the plastic cover(s) under the car. Whats my best Strat for getting this fixed? Sending pics to an indy shop (or any random shop) letting them order the parts then bringing it for a quick swap out?

How bad is it?
Most under body BMW panels are very easy to rapair as they are glass reinforced fibre. A good shop could repair them and you would never know they had been damaged if done correctly. If they are carbon fibre then the repair is the same process but will show more. |

Pretty sure its not carbon fibre, if they can repair that would be even better. So should I take it to an indy bmw shop, a body shop or a regular mechanic?

A body shop that specialises in repairing plastics etc would be my vote.

Anybody in UK had an issue with the glass fibre protection underneath the car being damaged? Dreaded speed humps must of damaged mine, just under passenger side door.
Anybody had this repaired in UK? Thanks |

I ended up replacing the piece it wasn't terribly expensive or difficult, a couple of hundred dollars.
I have to replace the front one too which has a couple of coin sized holes in it - that one was a bit more expensive. |

I had the underbody protection replaced today. Cost £115 for parts (needed plastic fixings also) then had independent garage replace. They said I was very lucky I didn’t damage the battery also, i need to be more careful over speed humps now

I was in Las Vegas MGM towers. DO NOT take any nice car there. The i8 got hung up on the speed bumps that are ridiculously tall. Not even a normal hump. It's almost a curb and they have them every 50 feet. Worst I have ever encountered anywhere. Myself and a Hurrican owner complained about how it scuffed the undersides of our cars and needing to be towed off them. Hotel didn't care. It's stock suspension too. Not even lowered!
