It was a lot trickier than it looks. That was my 4th attempt, despite practicing the manoeuvre through a kitchen chairs obstacle course The 1st attempt ended with a controlled crash landing underneath the i8.

The trouble is I only have a basic drone without crash avoidance, or the ability to switch off satellite tracking. So on entering the car it loses satellites, suddenly sees the "ground" approach and the ground effect updraft causes it to rise, and then the car headliner sucks it upwards too. Hence, you see me fighting to control it. I tried to go through quickly as it helped stability.

That's fantastic. I don't think I would be able to control one at all. How does the i8 compare with your other fantastic machines?

Wow, nice garage!!!

Pretty impressive with drone handling!

I've got the Phantom 3, great feedback and control, but I don't think I could maneuver what you did!

Thanks all Glad you enjoyed it.

It's not really fair to compare the i8 (£110k new) to the McLaren (£285k) or Ferrari (£330k) as specced due to the huge price differences and their different design intents.

Briefly however:

i8 - incredibly economical, great as a daily driver, flexible, super quiet long distance GT car. Still looks stunning after 5 years.

720S - extreme performance. Nothing I will meet comes close to it. Incredible to drive in every respect. Spaceship looks. Suspension, steering and handling like witchcraft as it appears to read my mind.

GTC4 Lusso - extremely comfortable & luxurious, full 4 seats for adults, 4WD and 4WS, sounds utterly incredible.

So all are very different. Plus my i3 for shopping and school runs etc. Great local car.
