I can not imagine how painful this is for those of you whose cars are in QC hold, stuck at the port, etc. Hopefully logjams will break soon.

Good chance you'll be on one of the KLine vessels - be sure to check the schedule!

So per the earlier conversation, production dates are not being delayed, but as we thought the target completion dates might be a couple months out…hopefully this is not true…just sharing what I was told.
I really wish Genius could provide some additional info apart from what we have via the tracker and chrome extension. I don't think it's too crazy of an ask to learn about the hold up of our $90k+ vehicles.

I am glad to see other Week 36 builds make it to the port and so far we haven't heard of any Week 37 orders being impacted. It's just a few of us lucky Week 35/36 folks that are dealing with a glitch, missing part/component, paint overspray, lost keys, etc.

Speaking of production weeks, is there a schedule that any one has that can be shared please? Reason I am asking is my salesperson told me I am a “sometime in October, week 42 build.”

TU.

Looks like it'll be the week of 10/15. If you have a VIN, it means you're in 150!

Thank you. No VIN yet; hopefully soon. I like mid-October as its current scheduled production week.

SWEET! Your original production date was 8/28, right? So, you were two days ahead of my 8/30 date. And, yours is probably shipping to Baltimore, right? Mine is likely shipping to Brunswick, so maybe mine will move forward as well and be on the same boat.

Yes 8/28 was the original date and yes to Baltimore. I’m hoping the same!

Happy times! Mine just moved to 181 - Ready for transport. And, my production date moved back to 2023-09-15.

TPW’s giveth and sometimes they take away. I just talked to the BMW Genius line (very friendly and informative) but still I learned that the preliminary assignment of our Week 42 production has now been moved to week 44. Guess that is why they call it target production week. Oh well, more time to save up for its arrival (and to have some accessories in hand then too).

My iX50 has just changed to "in transit" (while the M60 keeps being stuck in QC - I hope the dealer will get it eventually). Any pointers on ship schedule for cars going to the West Coast?

I will follow responses to your question closely for I too am interesting in how I will be able to track mine to Port Hueneme a few months after yours.

Good luck in yours getting QCH freed soonest.

I'm still in QC for the past 2.5 weeks. Any of you other extended QC Week 35/36 folks at the port or in-transit?

So frustrating. I actually gave up on the one I had coming from the factory and instead reopened my search for my iX. I ended up finding one with the same interior and exterior colors but with the premium package instead of the convenience package. Turns out the new dealer matched the price of my original purchase so I essentially got the same deal plus multifunction seats. I pick it up today!

Was a little bit of a pain/unplesant having to explain to the first dealership and to request back my deposit but deposit is in the process of being refunded.

May be worth a shot if you can’t see a clear path out of the QC penalty box.

Great news, and congrats! I probably search Autotrader and BMW dealer sites every other day hoping to find a car that matches my preferences. Seems that dealers order very few loaded cars in the jewel tone colors.

Congrats!

I honestly don't mind waiting; I knew it was going to be a 8-12 week process. My incentives are locked till 10/31 and I have a good feeling incentives will remain strong in November and December.

Did your build make it to the port or is it in transit?
