I was doing a public charge on a Chargepoint and an uber driver in a kia ev6 was charging next to me. He told me he uses bluedot app and showed me when finished his total charge came out to under $10

I downloaded the app but they want my SSN which i feel is unnecessary nor do I feel comfortable sharing tht

There is absolutely no reason I see to ask for a ssn for this and anything that asks would really raise a lot of questions.

If you look at their web site the BlueDot card is a Visa card. There is also this fine print on the main page:

"Bluedot is not a bank. Banking services are provided by Piermont Bank, Member FDIC."

This is not a charging network. It is a credit card with EV rewards. In this context it makes sense to run credit. What doesn't make sense is why they aren't being clear and transparent about what they actually are.
