Delete Handfree Tailgate Operation

Is there a way to retrofit this capability if your iX was built without it due to parts shortage?

Well, here's a thread in this forum titled "Hands free Tailgate retrofit." Maybe that helps?

I don't know if it's confirmed that anyone has actually done it yet, but it appears to be (perhaps) possible with some trouble, time and money.

I've done it 2x now .... my iX and i4. done at dealer, and officially retrofitted

I had this done. I bought the part myself online ($300) and installed it. Dealer charged me about ~$175 here in NorCal for flashing the right firmware to enable the feature.

I was a bit miffed that they would charge me at all for a simple flash.
