We have fault, there is a "following too close for current traffic conditions" vehicle code (help me out here Sedan_Clan

From what I can gather, there is diminished value, but I have to get it from the driver/company, not insurance.

See, I told you there would be hosing
Vehicle code(s) 21703 and 21706 cover "following too closely."

I have responded requesting additional details and indicating in no way that I was necessarily agreeing with the deletion, but I wanted to understand the difference in timing if I waited for the option to be filled.

But I can only presume that if they are just modifying options now, that the Jeep is not even built. Which is greatly annoying to me. Especially since I emailed him in February to make sure the order was submitted (and he said it was), and then emailed him twice now in March to follow up on status, once in early March. Its not like my order dropped through the cracks and they forgot about it.
I feel your pain. Since March of last year, this has been my every day at work. I am just now seeing progress on projects that I wrote a year ago. Frustrating. I'm fortunate that I work for understanding individuals.

$6377 to repair a bumper - no wonder insurance costs so much.

I know eh? When a tree fell on my SRT8 it just mangled the trunk and smashed the rear window and created maybe a 5mm sized (like maybe half the diameter of a penny for the Americans on here who I know refuse to measure in the metric system) dent in the frame. From that, they found over $28K in damages supposedly.

So insurance just wrote off my car. Which is why I have the S6 now.

But our GALLON of gasoline is still cheaper than your 3.79 liters!

Interesting measurement reference, coming from someone living in a country that doesn't even have pennies any more.....

Yes your gas is cheaper but I fueled-up this morning @$1.36/Lt. for Super. So I don't know where you're getting your figures from.

I recently got a quote to replace 11 feet of upper and lower handrails on our front stairs, plus 22 balusters. That boils down to 22 feet of 2 "x 4" redwood and 44 feet of 1.5" x 1.5" redwood. The quote was $2300.00, without sealer and paint.

So, I did the entire job myself for $400.00, including buying myself a new, cordless nail gun with an extra battery.

Jeepers Mr. Science, I know folks have to eat, but...

I can tell you that I last filled up at $2.97/gallon for 93 octane premium gas so there's that. If my calculation is correct you're paying the equivalent of $5.15/gallon? Also, is it 91 octane?

What do you make per hour (if you aren't retired) and how many hours did it take to complete the job? Just want to compare here...this is why sometimes I have other people do things, and other times I do them myself lol.

I think you might be right. It always does leave a cheap taste in my mouth, perhaps that why I dislike IPA's so much...

Yep, and the difference in the variations of IPA is the age of the penny and how much or how little mold it has on the surface. The greener they are, the more acidic it will be. Mmmm.

You stated that we were paying $3.79 per liter which would make it $15.16 a gallon. Your words.

I'm retired. It took me about 8 hours to complete the job (and I'm not a carpenter), including 2 coats of Kilz primer (no primer included in the bid). Included in my 8 hours is the time it took to fabricate a thin plywood spacer/gauge tool to make it easier to perfectly align the vertical balusters. It worked like a charm, as did my electric mitre saw.

So doing some math, let's say the redwood cost the contractor $200.00 (and I'm sure his cost is lower than mine), that leaves $2100.00 labor. I'm certain the contractor could do the job much quicker than me, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt and say 8 hours. That works out to $262.00 per hour. Yikes!

Oh I see what you're saying. No, you misinterpreted what I meant. I was trying to be clever in illustrating 3.79 liters is equivalent to 1 gallon. I never said you're paying $3.79/liter. If you were, I'd suggest moving.

As such, $2.97 is cheaper than $5.15

Seriously? I did a number of times and you're misreading it or misinterpreting it. Either way, I DID NOT SAY YOU'RE PAYING $3.79/LITER.

I wrote:

I just explained what it meant and can't do any more than that. Where does it say you're paying $3.79 per liter?? Note there is no Dollar sign before the 3.79 in my statement. (3.79 liters = 1 gallon)
