Get 4 front 868M wheels (20x8.5) and problem solved… no flares, no 285/30 tires, possibly not losing 50 miles of range.

Oh my .... soooo boring to watch this. I miss the sound of a screaming inline 6 or a robust V8. And, of course, no electric car will ever have a manual transmission. Call me a dinosaur, but I prefer driver engagement on a track.

The G87 might be our last, best hope.

This is nothing i4 specific but due to regulations, it's the same on the M2 and the M3/M4 for some tires.

Yeah I thought the same, it's not quite right without an engine sound.

Presumably the M-proper version will have to have 4 charging ports at the back and will produce sparks like a bumper car to give back some of the excitement and drama.

Maybe the 40 would overheat quicker but that would be a reasonable compromise for the normal vs M model.
The Taycan can definitely be taken on the track, although most of the people over on Rennlist said they wouldn't do that. Too heavy to be enjoyable is the main issue, I imagine the i4 will be the same, even in M trim.

Most people over on Rennlist say that because most people over on Rennlist never take their cars to the track regardless of the model.

Eh, there are a few that race quite a lot with their 911s. I am sure the same thing could be said about most high end vehicles though, how many take their M3s out? How many Audi RS, or MB AMG? Just thought I would point out that while the Taycan could be put on the track, most say it isn't fun to do.

I guess we can thank BMW, and the Competition, for now forcing most manufacturers to have to test their cars at the Ring, just for us to be interested in buying them.
