Battery health check

What a positive surprise.

I bought i8 a little while ago and deal included battery health check.

And results are... 100% battery capacity! Car is 2016 model and 100k KM / 62K miles. I thought there would be at least some wear.

100% in your case seems fishy 🤨

Indeed, the result is almost too good to be real. But I don't see any reason why official BMW retailer would trick the results.

Health check was performed in a different shop than the seller's shop.

2014 model here, original owner, 97% capacity as of last year before it was stored for the winter - like every year…..!

Ok, so I drive mine only, when I don’t drive the E30 Convertible. So, in Wintertime and bad/not so nice Weather conditions.
Maybe that’s the reason, my Battery Health is worse (still good though).

Do you always keep your battery plugged in when parked?

Yes, when car is not in use, the car is connected continuously through the 110V charger since I purchased it new.

Yes, always plugged in and parked in the Garage.

100% will the usable remaining capacity, which is not the same as 100% total capacity.

Because the car does not make the total actually usable. That's normal for all EVs.

Usable will be somewhere in the range 70-80% remaining.
