I found where I can update the connected drive software from the BMW website but I can't find where I can update the GPS map for the vehicle. Anyone know where we can update the 2015 update to a current version?
I had a 2015 328GT that strangely did not know one of the bridges to our country house existed. It kept wanting me to reroute to the other bridge and going 20 miles out of the way! Well turns out the i8 has the same map glitch so I need it updated.
Any help?

This was $50 to update which included a lifetime install code. BMW wants $40 for the update and $105 for the install code. In 2017 and newer I get updates over the air for free. That's not possible in the '15 i8 I have.

The Nav update from BMW is not in the connected drive store- it's a separate link. That's in shopbmwusa.com

Yeah, BMW is also now charging a yearly subscription fee for Apple Carplay. (Which is NOT a subscription service - just a license fee).
