Going from Lamborghini Gallardo to BMW i8 question
Just got to test drive this amazing i8, loved it a lot. Question to the owners: is it worth trading my Gallardo for the i8? How do you like it so far? What are the cons?

Have owned the Gallardo and have nothing but good things to say about its interior. One of the best! However, I realized it was less practical for everyday use and more costly in terms of time and money to maintain. i8: Pros: sips gas like nuns sipping vodka all the while delivering sports car speed and agility. Con: Trunk gets hot due to the engine proximity.
Since the vehicle is new, I surmise there will be some software issues that will need to be worked through (I am having my vehicle serviced specifically for that reason as well as a turbo part replacement). Other than that, I've found the i8 a blast to drive. Last edited by YWGT3; 06-24-2015 at 09:43 PM.. |

I have the i8 and lust for a Lamborghini, so u are a step ahead of me. 2 different cars but you should go for it unless u feel connected to ur Gallardo leading to buyers remorse?!

I had 2 gallardos and now i8. I won't go back to the gallardo (sorry, it's a 12 year old design and I hated e gear - clutch and pump are $$$$$ to replace). Step into the future with the i8!

Another plus in favor of the i8 over the Gallardo is that its more refined in the overall drive experience. The Gallardo will always let you know that you're driving a track car on city streets whereas the i8 is better positioned and would seem more versatile for both driving environments (must caveat that I've yet to take the i8 on the track). |
