How fast ? I've hit 141MPH. BMW, Mercedes Benz and Audi are restricted to 155 mph.

"Adequately" fast. I have (had until yesterday) a M5 too, I stopped driving my m5 after getting the i8. M5 was maddeningly fast, may be too fast to enjoy as a daily car, or maybe this is me getting old. I8 is fast in a much more civil way,
Unlike m5, you have to work pretty hard to kill your self in an i8!

It was reported that in Germany if you had the speed limiter removed it would do 198mph and 0-60 in 3.2. Don't know how reliable this info is though. Tuning the i8 takes around 0.3 - 0.5 of a second off the 0-60 but no increase in top speed.

Its ok fast. All speed is relative to what you compare it with.
Regarding the rumour that it would do 198mph with a speed limit removed, with a 1.5 turbo engine, its unlikely to even get close.
